It is Saturday, April 29, 2017. I am fortunate to be going on the annual ride this year. I was unable to ride last year because of a medical issue...I had a pacemaker installed. I feel much better now and I am excited to go on the ride. This year, we are headed to Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. The riders are: Chuck Roseberry, C.E. Fuller, Ken Shriner, Jake Jacobson, Jan Marshall, J.B. Henderson and Me. Since we are going to Canada, we all made sure that we had a passport.
Thanks to Ken Shriner for doing the Blog last year for me. He did a great job. I know he is happy that he doesn't have to do it this year. Chuck will also be posting a Blog. Pictures will also be posted after about the second day...or third.
As before, we have a destination, Thunder Bay, but we really don't have any plans as to which way we will go. We have NO reservations. We don't know how far we are going to ride or where we will end up. Every night we will look at the weather channel, look at a map and make tentative plans as to which way we will continue the next day. Of course, in the morning at breakfast, we will look at the map again and things can change. That's what makes this ride so interesting. Lunches are usually at Subway and dinners are usually at a local restaurant.
Please feel free to comment on the Blogs, and send messages. We love your input. As we ride through the country, we will be riding close to homes of Family or Friends. Please don't feel disappointed if we don't stop to say, "Hi." We generally don't do that.
I would like to thank my Wife, Laura, for her love and understanding that I may go on this ride for three weeks. I also thank the Wives of the other riders for "lending" their Husbands to the group. So, THANKS for reading the Blogs and following us. I will try to keep you entertained with what we do, how we ride, who we meet and what we see. I hope you all enjoy reading.
